TFN, super and bank details back before the first pay run.
Send each new starter one link. They upload the TFN declaration and super choice form, type in their fund and bank details, prove their right to work and sign your policies on their phone. WorkZerk reminds them about whatever is still missing.
30-day free trial. No credit card.
Sound familiar?
The TFN declaration comes back as a phone photo
It sits in an inbox with a tax file number on it, where anyone with access to the mailbox can read it.
Payroll is waiting on a super fund USI
The starter sent the fund name and nothing else, and the first pay run is on Thursday.
The visa has an end date nobody wrote down
The grant notice was checked on day one and filed. Nobody will look at it again until it matters.
How staff onboarding works for an Australian business
- Step 1
Start from the Australian staff pack
It asks for the TFN declaration, the super choice form and fund details, BSB and account number, proof of the right to work and an emergency contact. Add a sign-off for each policy and your induction as a checklist.
- Step 2
Add the starter, and the link goes out
Each person gets their own portal at a private link. No account, no password, and it works on a phone. The ATO forms are linked from the requests that ask for them.
- Step 3
WorkZerk chases, you approve
Reminders go to anyone who has not finished. You get told if an invite was never opened, and when everyone in the intake is done.
What the Australian staff pack asks for
- TFN declaration, or a myGov summary
- Super choice form
- Super fund name, ABN, USI and member number
- BSB and account number for pay
- Proof of the right to work
- Emergency contact
- Working with Children Check, with its expiry date
- National police check
- Your own contract, policies and induction
Tax file numbers kept private
The TFN declaration, account number and super member number arrive marked sensitive: stored encrypted, hidden from your team, shown in full only to admins, with every view logged.
The ATO forms, one tap away
The TFN declaration and super choice requests link to the ATO's own forms. The starter opens the form from their portal, fills it in and uploads it.
Checks that expire, watched
Put an expiry date on a Working with Children Check, a visa or a licence, and WorkZerk flags it before it lapses, long after onboarding is finished.
Policies accepted by version
Each policy is a versioned document. An acceptance records the exact version, the time, and a typed name or drawn signature.
Hand over the Fair Work Information Statement
Attach the statement to a request and have each starter confirm they received it. The confirmation is dated and kept on their record.
One record per person
Everything a starter sends lands on their contact record, not in an email thread. Export what payroll needs to CSV.
$9.95 a month, every feature included.
25 people can be onboarding at once, with no limit on how many you put through in a year. Colleagues who work in the account with you are $4 a month each.

Is WorkZerk an Australian product?
Yes. WorkZerk is built and supported in Brisbane by WorkZerk PTY Ltd. Support is open 9am to 5pm, 7 days, Brisbane time.
Is it safe to collect tax file numbers in WorkZerk?
Requests marked sensitive are stored with field-level encryption, masked for your team, visible in full only to admins, and every view is logged. You can also have WorkZerk delete a document after you approve it. The help centre explains how this relates to the TFN Rule.
Does WorkZerk lodge the TFN declaration with the ATO or set up super?
No. WorkZerk collects the forms and details from the new starter and keeps them on their record. Lodging with the ATO, paying super and running payroll stay in your payroll system.
Is it an HR or payroll system?
No. WorkZerk collects and keeps the onboarding paperwork. It does not run payroll, rosters, timesheets or leave, and it does not connect to payroll software. You export what you collected to CSV.
Does a new starter need to create an account?
No. Each person gets a private link to their own portal. They open it on a phone or computer, fill in what you asked for, and can come back later to finish.
How much does it cost?
One plan at $9.95 a month (US dollars) with every feature, and GST is added at checkout for Australian customers. 25 people can be onboarding at once. Try it free for 30 days, no credit card.
